Stopped for dinner, ordered a cup of gumbo and a whole catfish. The gumbo was served quickly, it was hot and delicious. The whole catfish soon followed, it was complimented with fries. Server was friendly and attentive. The food also reasonably priced.
Friendly staff and hot food! Absolutely the best gumbo in austin. The tilapia was moist and fully cooked. The stuffed sausage had plenty of flavor and their sweet tea was just perfect. The bar is the best place to sit at, makes you feel as if you were in a boat. Plenty of parking and very accessible for wheelchairs. Highly recommend, been comming for years!!!.
Service is great (depending on the server) we had a lovely lady who sang happy bday our grandfather when we went - there were two other people with birthdays and we sang for them too- it was great!! Good- AMAZING the catfish was amazing as was the stuffed crab and jumbo shrimp - it was amazing Atmosphere - I’ve been going to this establishment for 15 years now and it feels like home
This place is the best little seafood spot in town. Low key, super chill atmosphere. Great food! The gumbo has to be my favorite. I really do have a hard time trying to leave. It’s a very humble place so don’t expect much. But do enjoy the quirkiness of this place. Love it! Austin best kept secret.
Oh man I got the whole catfish shrimp hush puppies and sweet potato fries oh man that was so awesome, and my fiance had shrimps coleslaw hush puppies and french fries you better go get you some it's awesome absolutely it is this is a comeback I will be back
First time visitor and pleased. Waitress was attentive, food hot and fresh. Menu has lots of fried food options even fried alligator. For me its important to have good tarter sauce and I like theirs. Their shrimp was corn meal batter like a catfish. I did try the alligator and to me it tasted like fried chicken but you can tell its alligater based on mouth chew its slightly firmer. But nice to try for first time as app. Im a fan of beer batter fish and chips and this is not that type of battered cod. So I am glad i got shrimp add on, since the cod is not the type of breading that I prefer. It wasnt on the menu but they have it.
The most amazing and delicious Seafood meal, from Stuff Crabs, Jumbo oysters, oversized Shrimp s. Please let me tell you about Mr. Money who served my family with love, passion exceptional customer service skills, and a warm smile. Everything was . The Seafood was so delicious, you just don't want to stop eating. But I don't want to leave out appetizers were, stuffed jalapeno boudin balls, alligator bites. OMG!! This is our first time here and we are sure to return Thanks Mr. Money for making our last day in Austin amazing and enjoyable
Nice relatively inexpensive good seafood. We had shrimp, broiled & fried crab fingers and garlic toast. Very nice attentive service and food was fast and good. We will return.
